Why I Joined Rotaract
I joined Rotaract because, as a past president of the Interact Club, I was eager to continue my journey of service above self within the Rotary family. The transition from Interact to Rotaract was a natural progression for me.
Professional Development Director
My name is Shanyia Thomas. Outside of work and academic commitments, I find relaxation in spending leisure days by the pool, dining out at restaurants, and cherishing moments with my family.
I joined Rotaract because serving as an outgoing board member of the Interact Club of Southwest Tobago in 2021 marked a significant chapter in my journey. The experience and knowledge I gained inspired me to continue my path within the Rotaract Club of Tobago, aiming to contribute to the community and positively impact society.
Additionally, my time in Rotaract has provided invaluable opportunities to engage with a diverse array of individuals from varied backgrounds, enhancing my leadership skills and building my confidence and resilience. I am excited to serve in the new Rotaract year, 2024-25, as the newly appointed Professional Development Director.
Club service director
I’m Joshua Romeo, a sports enthusiast with a passion for tennis, football, and various other activities. I thrive on learning and creativity, viewing each day as a new opportunity for growth. I also enjoy socializing and actively participating in community activities.
On July 18, 2023, I had the privilege of joining the Rotaract family, driven by my desire to volunteer, contribute to societal development, and network with like-minded individuals. My goal is to inspire my peers to become well-rounded and productive members of society.
As an ambitious individual, I am dedicated to achieving greatness and am deeply committed to Rotaract’s mission of fostering young leaders to create a better world. This commitment has led me to take on the role of Club Service Director for the 2024-25 year, where I hope to make a significant impact.
